Egyptians are the bravest people on this planet when it comes to defending their rights to access Art and Culture!!!!!!!!!

Freedom of Expression is inseparable from Life itself to All Real Artists !!!

This is the message for the Opening of the Art show via youtube! You will need to put on headphones to hear this…was on a train…hope the Morsi thing works out….I admire my fellow artistic professionals for standing strong on the issues of Freedom of Expression…..come riot, national referendum , or petrol bomb protest around the corner from the National Musuem…amazing! That is exactly showing the steadfastness that enabled our cultures to endure for more than 5000 yrs on this planet while so many dictators have come and died! 🙂

This is the draft of the poster I sent to Cairo….so they can “do their design stuff” print it into big poster size etc…but seriously protestors are throwing petrol bombs at one another around the corner…so Everyone will just have to do what they have to do. 😛 “Inshallah…it will all be wonderful!” as Samia would say! ♥

Lol. Dear toilet traders….no more plumbers or lawyers…hey?

Thank you for the update but yes I can ignore it and I will….

      Let me explain:

      1) street artists or graff dudes who use their stuff to promote misogynistic violations of women’s right to equality deserve what ever crap they get!

      2) So called street art arses who help promote the islamic brotherhood and their. Agenda of hatred and global intolerance of diversity deserve whatever they get….

      3) anyone who helps this kind of (1) and (2) to hop on a trend to sell their crap at the expense of women without giving shit about how it impacts on women deserve whatever they get…

Sure they have a right to fair trail and then we have a right to ask for justice….

And granted….the Culling is extreme….but lets be honest…their street art were not very good…it is not like they are giving the death penalty to Leonardo da vinci or something….its x2 misogynistic arseholes promoting child brides…no education for women and death to all other religion..
      Whatever…!!!!

Am I going to cry about death of 2 divisive talentless street art misogynistic arseholes?

      No! I am having a coconut mocha frappicino…thanks! 🙂

      …in the Sunshine….no Press! X

With havin so much content do you ever run into any problems of plagorism or copyright violation? My site has a lot of unique content I’ve either authored myself or outsourced but it looks like a lot of it is popping it up all over the web without my permission. Do you know any techniques to help prevent content from being ripped off? I’d really appreciate it.

From Cecilia: You can either spend all your energy on defending your copyrights or you can spend it on being original and innovate so far ahead of your plagiarists, they can’t keep up! 🙂 That’s the LEGO theory (www.lego.com). I just go with a Creative Commons 3.0 so what I put up, as long as it is not-for-profit, attributed back to me AND can’t be used to endorse surrounding contents…I’m fine with as I wouldn’t put anything up in here that was not intended for public distributions anyway! see my CC 3.0 policies and the boring legal details: http://www.ceciliayu.com/creative-commons-licence-3-0/

Some time before, I couldn’t order anything online in Egypt during the Jasmine Revolution, everything was locked down. Thank heaven my brother proposed to try to telephone the trustworthy suppliers we used in the past but then it took a long time to make the call connect. This was a few years ago. I hope your art goes well.

Thank you Jillian. You know the show has been moved to Christmas 2012 because of the protest over the National Referendum in Egypt. 🙂

Invitations (Arabic) to the Cairo Opera House Christmas Art event and Opera Extravaganza 2012. I am so honoured to be a part of this… the fact that Verdi’s Aida opera premiered there for their Christmas 24th Dec 1871 has not escaped me and words cannot describe my appreciation and thanks to all those involved in this Incredible journey. I know the parrallel goes even further, Verdi’s show was delayed due to the Franco-Prussian war…and our show was delayed because of the Jasmine Revolution.History has a way of repeating…Happy Holidays! Thank you Samia Kamel, El Hanager and of course Egypt! Thank you!!!!
