My online Attendance at UN Climate Change Dialogues: Sharing the Professional MindMaps for UNFCCC COP26

Hello Everyone,
Sorry I am incredibly busy so can only blog this really quickly. I attended the UN Climate Change dialogues online. It was complex and a lot of input. I am still getting my head around some of it. So please note, here are the quick Mindmaps done to summarise the events. They had teams of Professional Illustrators doing that, working with the spontaneous extemporary composition aspects of Living Culture!

BTW I am not gonna pretend we did not run into problems registering! First there was no login links. Then after a few emails with IT where I had to use my gmail, IT says my work email from the Uganda office doesn’t work! IT got one of those 404 errors that occurs often if you are inside the Great firewall of China or some other firewalls! So I asked IT to use my gmail. IT says they can’t. Why not? If you know Net neutrality is not a thing in some countries? We are not all sitting inside the EU, are we? So finally I asked IT to just use my doctoral research official email. It worked but the Login email went into the SPAM! 🙂 Then I got online and Norwegian delegate’s voice was a blur of sounds because half way through her intro (ironically while she was praising IT support), her voice turned into an echoe of itself and I couldn’t understand a word of what she was saying during the closing day! Lol. But everyone soldiered on!

So can we do a mindmap where UN can think about how online dialogues can be REALLY more inclusive? For example, how come there was only ONE official China Delegates and no unofficial NGOs from China logging in, only government approved ones??? Would it be more “TRULY INCLUSIVE” if UN acknowledges Great Firewalls of China and some parts of Africa etc. and accept that many delegates might have to use other emails to join the Dialogue? Just thinking out loud! 🙂

Apart from that, everything else looks on the ball! Thanks for sorting out the IT eventually “Melly” in Germany! Thank you for trouble shooting!
