Charter08 is the reason why Liu Xiaobo, the Nobel Peace Prize Winner was arrested and will be locked up for 11 years in Jail. He did not get the Nobel Peace Prize for being locked up, he got the Nobel Peace Prize for his writing and works on Human Rights and Law Reform under in CCP China.
