Sustainable Responsible Eco-tourism and Volunteering in Uganda

This was probably one of the best experiences of 2011 that the volunteers got to experience…. Becautiful moments all around our projects in Kabale and Lake Bunyonyi.

Because of you, this giving season, we’ve been able to spend and donate USD$50,000 in funds and in-kind on improving the lives of a thousand people around Uganda.

廣東烏坎村民主起義 (蘋果日報 2011年12月19日) Wukan village Protest for Democracy inside China, Communist Authority Killed Village Elder; another Tienanmen Massacre feared! by 天安門母親 Tiananmen Mothers on Sunday, 18 December 2011 at 22:43

Wukan village news: Leader of the village was tortured to death after protesting against land-grab by local Communist Government authorities. The villagers in outrage, declared their independence and conducted a Democratic election where they elected their own local representatives to demand their fundamental human rights, right to proper rule of law and the return of their village elder’s dead body. It is feared that the situation may esculate into another Tienanmen (64) incident in Southern China. Village has blockaded themselves by digging impromptu ditches & setting up barricades. Dita von Teese’s speakeasy club, London, 2011

Pay attention to the lyrics of “Zip”….it is all true! I for one, was spending some of the evening checking out the club and part of the evening reading “Leonardo da vinci’s complete notebook” with the Kindle feature in my smartphone! The cocktails were pretty delicious too!

Season’s Greetings Ice-skating@The Royal Pavillion, Brighton

Merry Christmas! I am usually more of a fan of the Real Taj Mahal in India than the “copy” at The Royal Pavillion in Brighton, but when it is all lite up for Ice-skating, it was really beautiful and magical. We had a wonderful time, even though we got rained out in the last 15mins so we ran inside for a mulled wine under those rolls of chandeliers instead.
