Relevant Comments by HH The Dalai Lama Subsequent to the Sept. 11, 2001 Terrorist Attack on the US
The 11th September attack on the World Trade Centre and the Pentagon were deeply shocking and very sad. I regard such terrible destructive actions as acts of hatred, for violence is the result of destructive emotions. Events of this kind make clear that if we allow our human intelligence to be guided and controlled by negative emotions like hatred, the consequences are disastrous.

Quelle est cette langueur qui pénètre mon coeur?
“As a beautiful woman, how do you deal with the constant advances? How do you choose who you want? Do you just know because you know?” In order to answer this question, I would have to be able know how do I show a blind person what a piece of art look like and/or how does a deaf person hear music?
Burma: Why persecute people for their religion in Burma?
The persecution has varied from “churches in Rangoon finding it difficult to obtain permission to renovate buildings, to pastors in Chin State being killed.” In the same report, the Myanmar Ministry of Religious Affairs stated, “There shall be no home where the Christian religion is practiced.”
Artist non-statement For German TV and BBC
Artists make art. We don’t make statements about art. The art that we do inspires millions and billions to continue to voice their ideals in a way that better serves humanity. This is intrinsically what every artist on earth has committed to do. Some of us may become famous. Some of us may be anonymous artists who make graffiti arts around the world, but by the very nature of us being artists, we have committed to “furthering the human race” with the best of what our abilities/skills can provide.
Its not the “colour of our skin” that makes us beautiful…this is not about Look-ism either!
I have more features in common with Naomi Campbell than Brenda Song! Who would have guessed? Maybe when we get past the color of our skins and just look at the face of the person, even on a visual level we may be more similar to a member of another race than to our own? Wow, that’s a radical thought? 🙂 Not really!

Frankie Stein: I just saw a comment on your link to Time out. I had to laugh at Sarah’s comment that it wasn’t artistic, and they were all drunks and drug addicts! Hahaaaaaa!
Cecilia W Yu: lol. Sometimes its all part of the spin…if we all actually spent as much time in bohemia doing what the press suggested. I don’t think any art work would ever have been made or anything done at all…no one seems to understand how demanding a “life companion” the Artistic Muse is and sure, some uses the booze.
