Nadia is part of the intellectual, artistic creatives and bohemian circles in Tunisia…Some of her friends risked their lives publicly in voicing their message for a Democratic Secular Tunisia during the Jasmine Revolution of 2011. Thank you to Egyptian Streets شوارع مصر who recorded a … journey of what is … 72 hours which changed the lives of every Egyptian and possibly many more Arabic speakers on this planet!
Lol. We were all too wind-blown & possibly too polite to remind them of their incompetence and lack of courage. Hiding in the cabin area was the worst place you can possibly be in that situation! They could have asked what they could do…they just didn’t want to take instructions even if their lives depended on it (and it did!). They behaved like they had just encountered a minor inconvenience on their pleasure cruise afterwards. They were not even excited about being caught in a minor tornado!?!? ……P.S MY HAIR WAS DESTROYED and I had to cut it short after because getting it untangled with all that salt and knotts was impossible! I looked like a MESS!
Thank you! You were a GREAT role model for me …all the way down-under…just through the power of your voice, talent & confidence as a Black Afro-american woman. You made it look easy and because of women like you …millions of others goodlooking and talented women around the world, learnt to just tell the “haters” to “stick it” , get past the negativity of mediocrities and get on with what they are good at and dared to “Step up to it”!”
