But once upon a time, we took the money out of Confiscated EARNINGS from EXCESSIVE INSIDER TRADING, stupid bookies Race-fixing at Hong Kong Jockey Club and whenever we Get hold of the Tax evasion of Drug lords, we confiscate the lot (usually in Bars of Gold) and put it to build hospitals and stuff!!!!!! Why don’t we do this again and more of it?

It was an extremely intense in-studio session…..and I recommend all post-modern empowered women should go through something like this at least once, if not more often, to Really see the Art & Artists in themselves reflected through “Turning the Camera” (Professionals in the Arts & 18+ Proteges mentorship scheme **** To be announced. Yes probably there will be Press about it…but we are in it for the ARTISTIC Integrity, not the Media hype. Thank you very much.)

Anyway just when I thought I’m immuned, I got to Mackers and saw these two on a pseudo-valentine outing. It was so freaking cute! They were just sitting there, talking shyly into their hands, staring at each other, over cups of coffee they are NOT drinking, with a really cheap box of chocolate on the table. I don’t know why the complete unpretentious, awkwardness of it just inspired me artistically. It just captured what Valentine 2012 was for me: Not about corporate sponsorship and lonely hearts but more about authentic feelings. When you “get real” about your feelings, even hideous McDonalds coffee and a £2.99 box of tacky chokies can be kinda “sweet”.

Thank you! You were a GREAT role model for me …all the way down-under…just through the power of your voice, talent & confidence as a Black Afro-american woman. You made it look easy and because of women like you …millions of others goodlooking and talented women around the world, learnt to just tell the “haters” to “stick it” , get past the negativity of mediocrities and get on with what they are good at and dared to “Step up to it”!”

The Greek islands: The Art & the Culture is a reflection of the sustainability of their island living. That is not to say, there is no pain or difficulties; life is simply not idyllic just because one is on the greek islands, but I am grateful to all my islander friends and neighbors for their abilities to make life slightly less difficult for me, who is only an occassional islander; yet I feel their sense of community & sense of fairness from oceans away.

Sept 2012: I am a little sad that my art studio space will be converted as of Feb 2013 to affordable residential spaces for people to live in. 🙂 I’m not sure how many studios they can create out of the large rooms but I really wish the church the best and would like to be thankful for letting me use the space to develop art for Liverpool Bombed out Church Exhibition and for work with Team Robbo at their London Team Rex Exhibition. Thank you to everyone at the Church.
