True Blood! Kill “IKEA ” Eric -Go back to Black!

I KNOW! This Emo….sulking depressed Scandinavian bloke thing! I’m like. What? I can go anywhere in the middle of winter and find one of those hanging around sulking about nothing! What they need is a good dose of light therapy paid for by their government…cos honestly….what Eric North-man needs is a good blood-bath…not this sitting in an Ikea furniture basement, having some sort of mid-life crisis about his “maker” and “boohoo, never playing in sunshine!” and wearing so much oversized American Beige clothing!

Why do we need an Eco-bathhouse up in the Himalayas? Ask Brabal Eco House Project!

“We are not using any any cement or steel to build in the Himalayan Village. I am using locally extracted stones and mud and wood. So exciting!” says Sherap Sherpa, the founder of Brabal Eco House Project. Hygienic standard is very very low among these people. But culturally this village is rich and the natural beauty is incomparable to any other surrounding villages or district.

Artists of the world: Japan calling…..Give them your he-ART?

The post office were quickly up and running again and in many cases the first news that loved ones were safe was by postcard.
Inspired by the wonderful impact postcards can have, we would like to invite artists and poets to send tangible messages of support to communities affected by the devastation by making A5 size original artwork or poetry postcards. This is a professionally curated travelling art show.

Working with LS14 TRUST Digital Lounge: No Classes, just Animation here!

To date the LS14 Trust together with Seacroft Residents Association has been successful in supporting the Seacroft Gala and creating Sing on the Green at Christmas. Recently they converted the old rent office on Ramshead Hill into the ‘Digital Lounge’ which is a kind of informal drop-in centre for residents to access the internet and hold meetings.

Fluk Factory: School of Eco-tecture works with the Hunar Foundation !

I have undertaken to mentor a number of gifted Eco-tecture students in the future as the Director of Creative Designs. It is a very challenging tasks to stimulate future ecotects to “think of the Impossible” and then combine that with their technical know-how, “Make it do-erable”! That is at least my personal ethos in undertaking the mentorship program for the future. This is where Fine Arts meet Functionality, on a practical & culturally sustainable level.

Griffin Charitable Trust : Keeping Music firmly rooted in “Community”, empowering youths in Jamaica!

The gift of the musical instruments will enable our own children at the Sanctuary to learn a new musical skill and this will empower them to help other children. Unfortunately and fortunately, because of the limits of resources, our kids will be sharing the donation with Mustard Seed Communities Dare to Care Home for children infected with HIV/AIDS. We would love for every child to have their own musical instrument one day! In the meantime, the aim of setting up a shared experience is so that they will have a joint Musical Group in the future!

GCT: “Spirulina to Permaculture: Superfood Super-healing Jamaica! Thanks, Christopher Hill Foundation!”

On a more personal level, I was intrigued by the idea of spiritual development through better eating habits with John. This is a vision that we both share through our legacy and connection with Eastern Medicine. I think there is a lot The Christopher Hill Foundation can offer to the world in terms of enhancing this vision of Sustainable Permaculture. Likewise, Griffin Charitable Trust has been working hard on starting a Permaculture Farm at The Sanctuary for the last few years too!

“The Super Club” A very 2011 kind of Sustainable Social Enterprise

I could tell you where this place is, but I think it would be more fun if you went out to your own local area and look for “REALLY Sustainable” businesses like this one to support! I am sure there is something like that near you. We just have to change our idea of what makes a restaurant successful and go back to the “pleasure of enjoying one another’s talents & skills” instead of being told what our pleasures should be by multi-million marketing campaigns.
