A friend of mine ,a professional photo journalist contributed one of his photo to the Worldwide Collection catalog of 5000 travel photos!!! It probably will be in their website soon. I don’t know why, on a lark, I felt like going through some pretty pictures and jotted down a few of the Photographer’s names which worldwide collection carefully collated and provided links to their websites. In the meantime, until the website is ready, they are putting a lot of it in their Worldwide Collection facebook so you can visit if you want to and support for their efforts.
I won’t tell you which one of them is my friend…..I think you should just let the photographs speak for itself. 🙂
There is no reason why I decided to pick Worldwide Collection’s Collection. It is purely a coincidence that my friend’s photo is there and I noticed it. That is all. This is a totally random posts but now you can all look at some gorgeous travel pictures to be as Random as I am sometimes.
Thanks Worldwide Collection for collating it and sharing generously while giving credit to ALL artists professional and otherwise. Good one, I love people with good internet etiquette.
In the same spirit I emailed you and asked you if there’s any names you want me to name to give credit for the future Worldwide Collection website. Let me know. You clearly approached this with respect for artists but still kept it open source for sharing in an ethical & honest way as I and my many other Guests Bloggers did ie not just taking the images in an act of plagiarism and then taking the credit away from other’s artistic works! Fantastic! 🙂

Me and my friends are trying now to figure out whether this Old Bridge really exists in Russia. Or wherever. Never heard nor seen it, although it is outstanding and I live all my life in Russia. Have you got any information, dear Cecilia ?

Hello Valentina. I wished I knew but I don’t!
The best thing to do is to ask Worldwide Collection…this is their facebook page! https://www.facebook.com/WorldwideCollection …they might be able to send you to the artist who took the photo?
Thank you for asking!!!
*** Russia is such a vast country, I grew up in Australia and I was in awe of the land when I went to Moscow and St. Petersburg. Like you, I think Russia is an amazing place too but it takes so long to travel across it….I was tempted to do the Trans-Siberian railway when I was studying in Beijing to go all the way to Moscow but classmates of mine did it to go home to Poland and it just sounded like hard work….:) Really hard work because of the cold, the length of journey, they said they spent almost an entire week drunk to entertain themselves during the boring bit…Mongolia was cool but dodgy food on the train!
But no way..if I do it, I want to go first class….like this:
and not like this! hahahhaa….which is what my Polish friends who speak fluent chinese did! Poles, They are crazy people…squashed into a breadbox like this sharing it with drunk Mongols, Chinese and Russians for 10 days! hahahhaa.
I would love to hear your experience ! 🙂
