I visited the #Barbie Exhibition today!

I went to the #Barbie exhibition aka #Art Research for my #AlteredBarbie #SanFrancisco #Missions ….#Mattel sueing Artists for #LGBTQ Barbies theme was a total joke in the noughties and didn’t have a leg to stand on! However today unfortunately I must conclude that the official exhibition was disappointing…due to excessive copyrights? We saw nothing of the REALLY Spectacular Designers like #BobMackie or #YSL or #Chanel etc. There was also no #Olympics Barbie and the few limited edition ones were not the must exclusive range!

Maybe I am asking for too much as an artist? Or maybe the public that paid £50 for family of 2 adults and 2kids, are NOT asking for enough in their Pop Cultural experience? This is what happens when #curators no longer know their subjects and are just chasing the £18 per adult tickets! I expected more …where is my #EgyptianGoddess or #AsianGoddess Limited Editions Bob Mackie Barbie or the International Costume Barbie range or the 1st Black  Miss.America Vanessa Williams doll???

I know my Barbie…you are not delivering enough for the #cult #connoisuer audience, so what is a #Museum for? 😫😳 #annoyed. Where is the #DamienHirst #Hollogram dress Barbie design? Still annoyed…..

***But for NORMAL people (not Barbie fanatics), this would be a fun day out if you want to pay too much for only 2 rooms of exhibits! 🤣😎
