United Nations Human Rights Council 57th Session: Report of the Permanent Forum on People of African Descent on its 3rd session

I want to share that the first phase of the UN Human rights Consultation concluded today (Sept 27 2024), My rapporteur report and PEPA L’Humanitaire NGO’s special consultation were adopted in Summary of Deliberations, specifically agenda 30, pp. 4-6 in this report :

UN General Assembly A/HRC/57/68, “Report of the Permanent Forum on People of African Descent (PFPAD) on its third session, Human Rights Council, Fifty-seventh session, 9 Sept- 9 October 2024, Agenda Item 9: Racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related forms of intolerance; follow-up and implementation of the Durban declaration and the Programme of Action.

The next phase is with THE Secretariat of UNHR and UNESCO (Sept2024-Jan 2025) to strategise Top-down legal interventions towards more equitable systems especially at Universities and Higher Education within individual member states, targetting racially abusive institutions of Higher Education and their systemic discriminationary processes. 😎
