As far eastern representative of Voices of Women Worldwide, I am happy to announce that our work with Commission on the Status of Women (UN CSW62) continues unfettered in 2017. For International Women Day we are happy to announce this event hosted by CSW in New York about the Legal and Human rights of women in Saudi Arabia, advocated by Saudi Arabian Female Lobbyists in 2018.
With the spread of anti-Muslim rhetoric by irresponsible Neo-Nazis and Neo-Fascists politicians, it is easy to assume certain kinds of stereotypes about women in the Arabic speaking world. Since I do not subscribe to that hate-filled rhetoric of neo-nazis politicians like Trump, Le Pen, Farage and Siv Jensen, I believe that the greatest gift we can give to celebrate the role of Women on International Women Day 2018 is to honor the voices of Muslim women.
I am disgusted with the level of hate crime I’ve witnessed in Western media about Muslim women and I look forward to hearing about Suadi ArabisaWomen lobbying in their own voices, no longer silenced and speaking freely.
Happy International Women Day 2018, Ladies!
love
Cecilia
P.S Just because a person is leading a country does not mean, their words are above the law of Hate crimes and I am personally not sure why no one has tried to take all the individuals who scapegoat Muslim women through weekly public hate speeches to court? 🙂 But we digress, it is important to support women and #metoo movements to include women worldwide.
