I am seeing photos of anti-GMO marchers from all over the world — puts tears in my eyes.. I have scientist friends on FB who insist that there is nothing wrong with GMO foods. Fine. Go ahead and eat them – but don’t deny everybody else a choice.

I am 62 – I have lost count of how many times scientists have assured the public that something was perfectly safe – only to find out many years later — OOPS.

Monsanto has been an evil corporation since I was marching against the Vietnam war and draft, if not before. My friends were affected by Agent Orange – Don’t expect me to ever give Monsanto the “benefit of the doubt.” That is an amoral company if there ever was one.

(They probably sold Hitler gas for the ovens. I should probably check that out..)

They certainly do in China and that is why they will probably starve their own kids to death or worse…..I don’t know….is this really the way of the future? I don’t think so and nor do many of the 1.3billion chinese on earth.

‘March Against Monsanto’ Protesters Rally Against U.S. Seed Giant And GMO Products

LOS ANGELES — Protesters rallied in dozens of cities Saturday as part of a global protest against seed giant Monsanto and the genetically modified food it produces, organizers said.

Organizers said “March Against Monsanto” protests were held in 52 countries and 436 cities, including Los Angeles where demonstrators waved signs that read “Real Food 4 Real People” and “Label GMOs, It’s Our Right to Know.”

Genetically modified plants are grown from seeds that are engineered to resist insecticides and herbicides, add nutritional benefits or otherwise improve crop yields and increase the global food supply.
