My favorite Saraha’s King Doha verses…

….So …this week’s Creative inspirations for all my MiniMes (joke name for Mentees from World Youth Forum and Africa Union) around the world…..This is not an easy esoteric poem BUT it has been used to bridge quite a few abstract Physics concepts…and entralled Niels Bohr, Carl Jung, Henri Bergson and Wolfgang Pauli and so on and so forth….

I think all modern Scientists who are NOT mired in 17th C  literalism should be familiar with the works of Saraha Yoginicitta. The text is next to impossible to locate unless you track down some equivalent of a “Don” from Rumtek, like I did and studied with Khenpo Tsultrim Gyamtso Rinpoche directly as I had to from Sanskrit, Tibetan and Ancient Chinese to English …but Herbert Guenther’s translation is “passablement”…he did it from Sanskrit to German to English …

One of my favorite poetic verse from Saraha’s King Doha translated from Sanskrit by Herbert Guenther in Nagoya Japan in 1992….on stainless mind and transcendental nonduality…in realising the oneness in wisdom….beyond the forced intellectual grasping of dualistic knowledge:

“There’s nothing to be negated, nothing to be
Affirmed or grasped;
Nothing to be [egocentrically] grasped: for It can never be conceptually fathomed.
By the fragmentations of the intellect are the deluded
Fettered;
Indivisible [BE-ing] complementary-in-spontaneity remains Pure.

If you question ultimacy with the postulates of the many and the one,
By a mere flash of insight sentient beings are freed.
The recognition of Be-ing’s radiance and its continuous cultivation
Unswerving mind is your authentic Self.
